An Alderman is the bridge between the people and City Hall. Their job is to solve neighborhood problems, bring resources into the community, and ensure residents have a voice in the operations of their city.

Pass Laws and Ordinances

Heading Vote on city laws, zoning changes, budgets, and policies.

Pass Laws and Constituent Services

Assist residents with city services such as potholes, streetlights, sanitation, permits, abandoned buildings, and public safety concerns.

Public Safety Advocacy

Work with police, violence prevention groups, schools, and community organizations to address crime and safety concerns.
